Since there isn't one yet, I'll start one.
I'm expecting Donald, Marson, Mayberry, Watson, Slayden. I'm not sure who else. Is Andy Tracy still even on the team? Mike Cervenak?

Cervenak and Tracy have been re-signed, I believe they will share 1b. Watson became a minor league free agent, I don't believe he'll be back.
I will put the roster prospects I have figured.
OF:John Mayberry JR., LF, *Rich Thompson CF,* Jeremy Slayden RF, Mike Spidale OF, Javon Moran OF,#Chris Walker OF, *Javis Diaz OF, Kevin Mahar OF, Wilkin Ruan OF, *Brian Stavisky OF
IF- *Andy Tracy 1B, Mike Cervanek 1B, Brad Harman 2b, Jason Donald SS, Neil Sellers 3B, #Terry Tiffee 3B, # Ozzie Chavez SS, #Kyle Haines SS, J.J. Furmaniak IF, *Luke Appert IF, Clayton Harris IF
C- Lou Marson, C, Chris Coste, C
P- Carlos Carrasco, Kyle Kendrick, Drew Carpenter, Yorman Bazardo, Justin Lehr, Adam Eaton, Gary Majewski, Justin Pope, Yoel Hernandez, Scott Nestor, Scott Mathieson, *Mike Zagurskie,*Joshua Shortslef, *Justin MacIntosh, *Sergio Escalona, Sam Walls, Mike Koplove, Patrick Overholt , Joseph Bisenius, Dave Borkowski, Brian Neal
All above have signed and are about the experience level. Some on above list may make Majors and some I have projected to majors may be at Lehigh. They will cut to 24, I believe.

I'll take a shot at the lineup and pitching:
Moran CF Donald 3B Marson C Mayberry RF Slayden LF Cervanek 1B Harman 2B Chavez SS
Carrasco Kendrick Carpenter Eaton Mathieson
Pen: Escalona, Bisenius Majewski, Zagurski, Overholt
Anyone else is interchangeable. Tracy will be there, but if Donald is our 3B in training Tracy will share time with Cervanek.

BTW, this would be our most competitive team in AAA in ages. Should compete for a chamionship.

I wouldn't be surpirsed to see Mayberry have a good shot at being the 5th OF on the Phils. I doubt that both Jenkins and Stairs will remain. My guess is Stairs goes and Mayberry makes the team.

Another possible is Phils can still acquire a RH bat as the prices go down in the coming weeks.

I kinda get the feeling that UC will give Mayberry every chance to make the team as a reserve outfielder. He seemed quite interested in working with him on his hitting at the time of the trade...much more so than usual. You gotta think that Stairs won't be back next year if only because we already have Jenkins who is unmovable due to his huge contract.

I would LOVE to see Mayberry's production against lefties translate to the majors in 2009. I think the chances are decent. He has had experience and success against lefties. But his pitch recognition or patience or something is preventing him from getting on base more in general. That tells me he has not really learned how to leverage his ABs yet consistently, like a Dobbs or a Werth. He might need to take what Charley teaches him to AAA and apply it there. If they think we will get a lot of frustrating ABs from him in 2009 and he is not ready, you will see someone else. I will be rooting for him to become a complete, intelligent hitter. If not, major league pitchers will bury him.

Was there any chatter of Mayberry getting injured at some point in the 2nd half of 08? His numbers took a serious nosedive in Aug and Sep for no apparent reason that I've been able to find.
Pre AS: .850 OPS in 268 AB Post AS: .694 OPS in 169 AB
If he would have kept up his 1st half numbers in the PCL he'd look a heck of alot better.

When was the All-Star? MLB All-Star I am thinking was probably in late July , and seeing that the minors finish up in September early , maybe it wasn't really half a season and he might of just had a kind of slump for a month, they all have had that. But, he may have been injured somewhat, someone might know.
MLB roster---I believe they should carry 2 back-up middle infielders. I like Donald for one early, until Utley is surely back, and if Bruntlett is not traded, he gets the other. A catcher, those 2, 12 pitchers, that leaves 2 Outfielders. Dobbs would slide to the outfield in that case. Stairs is tradeable because he could pinch-hit and such and only makes a million. Jenkins could be traded, particularly if a bad contract is taken back or most of salary is assumed by Phillies. So that is the way Mayberry could make it, I say, as one of the 2 reserve outfielders. However, I would want one of the 2 reserve outfielders to be capable of a good defensive Center Field. Dobbs and Mayberry would not be it.
